Throw another poll on the barbie. Quinnipiac tosses another set of numbers into the hopper, with a new, larger sample survey that shows Bill McCollum hanging onto a narrowing lead over healthcare insurgent Rick Scott:

GOP Gov – TH/MD/QP/PPP/QP2
Rick Scott – 42 / 30 / 35 /47 / 39
Bill McCollum – 32 / 34 / 44 /40 / 35
Someone else – 3 /– /– / – /
Undecided – 23 / 33 /– / 13 / 22

The poll shows Kendrick Meek holding a 10-point lead over Jeff Greene…

Dem Sen – TH/MD/QP/PPP / QP
Jeff Greene – 35  /26 /28 /27 / 39
Kendrick Meek – 31  / 40 / 35 / 51 / 29
Maurice Ferré – 4 / — /6 / 4 / –
Undecided or other – 31 / 34 /31 / 18 / 28

Meanwhile, in more … odd … news, Mike Huckabee is denying he tried to sell his endorsement to Scott.

(Politico) Just two days before the Florida Republican Gubernatorial primary, a political blogger in Florida falsely accused [former] Gov. Mike Huckabee of approaching the Rick Scott campaign and making “overtures that his endorsement could be had for $250,000 dollars.”

The blogger went on to say that his “source is inside the Scott campaign and cannot be disclosed.”

Let me be perfectly clear, Gov. Mike Huckabee has never had a conversation with Rick Scott or anyone on his staff about such matters. In fact, at the time the Scott campaign claims this was being discussed, Gov. Huckabee had already early voted for Bill McCollum. …

Ah, Florida…
